Bye Bye 2012.

I haven't taken any pics for my blog recently so I decided to put together a few pics of some outfits I wore over the festive season. [excuse the blurry night ones! lol]. It's been great having time off uni and catching up with friends + hitting the SALES!!! Though the sales weren't that great this year (taking off £2 doesn't really count as sale in my opinion!lol) but I still managed to snap up some great stuff which I'm very excited to post about verry soon. 

I can't believe this year has already come to an end! where does the time go??! Crazy! Anyway... Here's hoping 2013 will bring just as much if not more happiness and hopefully the time can slow down so I can fit in some more blogging. Happy New Year everyone!

Call me maybe

Today I sported this 'telephone-box' top with some leather look leggings and a parka. Novelty tees are always good buys because they're good for those days when you just don't feel like dressing up, they can act as the 'centre-piece' of your outfit - simply throw one on with some leggings or coloured jeans and you're good to go! Paired mine with leather look leggings; which I'd forgotten I had and have been wanting to buy a pair so its a good thing I waited!! [still, I wouldn't say no to the pair I featured in my last post! hehe.]

Dear Santa...

Since its the season of gifts and what not; here is a collection of a few things I'm coveting. I'm particularly in love with no.1 and 5 (I have a feeling no.5 will be in my basket by the time I've finished posting this! lol) The Topshop coat is just so gorgeous and looks super warm which is always a bonus!

Black on Black

I really love putting outfits together and seeing what works for me and what doesn't..since I've never really been the creative type I guess this is where my creativity lies (if we can call it that!)lol. Well whatever it is I Love it! Been wanting to do an all-black outfit for ages and ta-daa! I dont think you can go wrong with black because theres so much you can do with it, you can dress it up or down very easily and go wild with your jewellery if you want to. Since I had nowhere special to be I chose to keep it simple and let my accessories do the talking.

OH- I can't not say anything about my handbag!! I'm so obsessed with this bag right now. I saw a woman on the train with it and really wanted to ask her where it was from but she got off just before I mastered the courage to stop staring at it and ask lol. So imagine how happy I was when (instead of doing an essay) I came across it whilst online shopping! The JOY! I love its snakeskin sides and the red interior..It can do wonders for any dull outfit! Converses and Shorts Kinda Day...

 I definitely wish I had a better camera... my pictures look so clear on my beloved S3 but then come to upload them onto my laptop it goes downhill!! lol. Oh well can't complain... my outfit is pretty much visible and that's all that matters :) This is my kind of 'go-to' outfit when I'm in a rush - shorts, a big jumper or cardi and my converses + some accessories! Quick and comfy so there's no excuse for being seen in tracksuit bottoms!! hehe.. :)

Battling with the wind...

Wind 1-0 Ruth

So this was me trying to defy the wind and take some pics of my outfit today (hence the crazy hair lol). I've wanted to take some pictures by the canal on my campus for ages and I had some time in between my lectures today so I thought I'd give it a go - didn't really do it justice because you can't see how nice the area looks at this time of year so i'll definitely be taking some more pics there soon! :) I'm definitely over-wearing my faux-fur collar at the moment but its just soo warm and can be worn with just about anything!

My Very first Post. Yay. Faux Fur & Leather Shorts

Embracing Winter.

As much as I hate the cold weather Its always a great excuse to stock up on new coats  (I think I have a slight obsession with coats & jackets tbh lol) ,cosy cardigans and anything furry I can get my hands on! This faux fur collar is unbelievably warm so I teamed it with an oversized jumper and an army-style jacket and was good to go! 

I love the colour red/burgundy and I think it works really well in the cold seasons paired with black - particularly if you want to avoid looking too bright but still want a pop of colour! Plus it has a christmassy feel to it. Hope you like :)
